Beaver Hardwood Stuido
Selected walnut. Guided process. Built with intent.
Beaver Hardwood is an Ontario furniture studio focused on commission-built walnut tables and statement hardwood pieces. Each project begins with selected material, careful proportion, and a guided process from first conversation to final placement.

The Studio
Built in a working studio.
Every Beaver Hardwood table begins in a working Ontario studio, where walnut is reviewed, selected, and prepared before production begins. We hold a private inventory of walnut, allowing each commission to begin with material chosen for colour, figure, scale, and suitability.

Material Review
The table begins before the first cut.
Before a table is built, the walnut is reviewed for proportion, character, and suitability. Grain movement, natural voids, live edges, width, and overall scale all influence the final direction.
This step gives each commission a clear starting point. The selected material, layout, approximate dimensions, and design direction are reviewed before production begins.

The Process
A controlled build from layout to final finish.
Once the material and layout are confirmed, each table moves through a hands-on build process. The walnut is prepared, joined, shaped, sanded, finished, and reviewed with care at each stage.
The goal is to create a table with balance, substance, and a natural sense of belonging the home.
Finished Work
Finished with weight, warmth, and restraint.
Some commissions are clean and architectural. Others preserve more natural edge and character. The common thread is selected walnut, careful proportion, and a finished piece built to anchor the room without overwhelming it.
Each table is finished to bring out the depth, tone, and natural movement of the wood while keeping the overall design balanced and timeless.
